Featuring the Patriotic Eagle Design of Jennie Norris

Obverse: The obverse design comes from Augustus Saint-Gaudens's Double Eagle. The morning sun begins to rise behind Liberty as she faces the holder with her torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left. Her name, 'LIBERTY' is inscribed above, while the date, '2022,' is also noted on this face. Augustus Saint-Gaudens was a prominent sculptor and founder of the Cornish colony, a community of artists. This design is his most famous.

Reverse: Jennie Norris's reverse design was sculpted by Renata Gordon. It features a left-side, closeup view of an eagle. Above the bird's head are the statutory mottoes 'E PLURIBUS UNUM' and 'IN GOD WE TRUST.' Rim inscriptions read, 'UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,' '25 'DOLLARS,' and '1/2 OZ. FINE GOLD.' Jennie Norris made her numismatic debut with this design in mid-2021. She is an award winning artist, as well as an illustrator and graphic designer.
