The Morgan Silver Dollar stands as America’s most popular and highly sought-after vintage coin without question. On the other hand, the Peace Silver Dollar holds a significant place as one of America’s beloved vintage coins, marking the final silver dollar series minted entirely in silver for circulation. The last Morgan Dollar was minted in 1921, coinciding with the introductory year of the Peace Dollar. In commemoration of this historic milestone in coinage, the U.S. Mint reissued these coins in 2021. Following a pause in production due to a shortage of silver blanks, both the Morgan and Peace Dollars made a return and are once again available in 2024! Just like in 2021, The Mint has revived the original designs and, leveraging modern technology, introduced new Morgan & Peace Silver Dollars that are larger and more striking than ever before!

• 2024 MORGAN SILVER DOLLAR:The 2024 Morgan Silver Dollar, featuring designs by former Assistant Mint Engraver George T. Morgan, maintains the original aesthetics. The main difference lies in its composition: instead of 26.73 grams of 90% fine silver, it is now minted in .859 troy ounces of highly pure 99.9% silver. The iconic Lady Liberty profile with a cap, flora, and an inscribed crown bearing “LIBERTY” remains unchanged. Encircling her head are 13 stars, “E PLURIBUS UNUM,” and the year 2024. On the reverse side, the familiar eagle clutching arrows and an olive branch within a wreath is displayed. Surrounding the eagle are the inscriptions “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “IN GOD WE TRUST,” and “ONE DOLLAR.”

• 2024 PEACE SILVER DOLLAR: The 2024 Peace Silver Dollar, like its vintage counterparts, showcases designs by Italian American Sculptor Anthony de Francisci. The only difference is that instead of being minted in 26.73 grams of 90% fine silver, it is now produced in .859 troy ounces of highly pure 99.9% silver. The iconic profile of Lady Liberty wearing a crown of rays inspired by the Statue of Liberty design remains unchanged. Teresa Cafarelli de Francisci, the sculptor's 23-year-old wife, was the model for Lady Liberty. The reverse side also features the familiar image of an eagle at rest holding an olive branch above the word 'PEACE.'

In addition, NGC has certified that these silver dollars are First Day of Issue (FDI) coins, meaning that they were received by NGC or an NGC-approved depository by the release date or on the business day within 24 hours of the official release date.
