2024 4 Euro 1/25oz. Austrian Gold Philharmonic, BU

Call To Order

The most recent addition to the Austrian Gold Philharmonic Series is the 1/25 oz gold coin. Initially introduced as a celebration of the program’s 25th anniversary, the diminutive gold coin proved so popular that the Austrian Mint has continued to release the 1/25 oz gold weight as part of its annual range of coins in the series.

Coin Highlights:

  • Available inside individual flips or plastic tubes of 20 coins!
  • 11th coin in the 1/25 oz Gold Philharmonic Series!
  • Contains 1/25 Troy oz of .9999 pure gold in BU condition.
  • The face value of 4 (Euro) is fully backed by the Austrian government.
  • On the obverse side is the Great Pipe Organ.
  • The reverse features a collection of musical instruments.

Austrian Gold Philharmonic Coins are available annually from the Austrian Mint. When the series launched in 1989, the mint offered 1 oz gold and 1/4 oz gold options. In 1991, the 1/10 oz gold coin was added, and in 1994, the 1/2 oz gold coin was introduced. It was another 20 years until the debut of the 1/25 oz gold coin, the last addition to the Gold Philharmonic range.

All of these 2024 1/25 oz Austrian Gold Philharmonic Coins are available to you for purchase in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. The coins are shipped individually inside plastic flips or by multiples of 20 coins in acrylic tubes.

On the obverse of the 2024 Austrian Gold Philharmonic Coin, you will find Thomas Pesendorfer’s image of the Great Pipe Organ. This is the third pipe organ to feature inside the Golden Concert Hall, which itself is within a building known as the Musikverein. The Great Pipe Organ was installed in the 1910s, some 40 years after the Musikverein was built.

The reverse side of 2024 1/25 oz Gold Philharmonics comes with a collection of musical instruments. Also designed by Pesendorfer, this visual shows a large cello in the central foreground with two violins on either side. In the background, you’ll notice a bassoon, a harp, and a French horn.
