2025 10 Yaun 30 Gram Chinese Silver Panda, BU

Introduced in 1982 with gold bullion coins, the Chinese Panda Series is one of the preeminent bullion coin collections in the world. The series features a total of five weights in gold and one weight in silver. In 2016, the Chinese Mint became the first major sovereign mint to shift its bullion coins from Troy ounce weights to Grams.

The 2025 design for Chinese Pandas showcases a rare moment of socialization for the creatures. Pandas are solitary creatures that live alone for most of their lives. They are only social during the brief mating season, which occurs once every 1-2 years, and when raising their young. Pandas are territorial and will fiercely defend their home ranges, which can span several square kilometers of bamboo forests.

Obverse design elements on 2025 Chinese Silver Panda Coins feature the new design for the 2025 release. This year’s image shows an adult panda seated on its backside in the foreground as it uses its paws to manipulate some bamboo. Nearby, a small cub playfully paws at the adult while another cub climbs on the rocks in the background.

Reverse visuals on 2025 30 Gram Silver Pandas include the static image for all Chinese Panda coins. This design captures the image of the Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests, the central building in the Temple of Heaven Complex. This image has been used on all versions of the Chinese Panda since 1982.
