Panda cubs rely entirely on their mother’s milk for nourishment in the early stages of life. Mother pandas have specialized adaptations in their mammary glands to produce milk rich in fat and protein. They nurse their cubs frequently, and the cubs gradually grow and gain strength.

As the cubs grow and become more mobile, they start to explore their surroundings, including the den and the area nearby. Mother pandas allow their cubs to play and learn, but they remain watchful and protective. Cubs develop their senses and motor skills during this stage.

In the obverse design of the 2024 8 Gram Gold Panda Coin, the mint features the Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests. The view shown here looks up the main stairs toward the doors of the building. The Hall itself is part of a larger Taoist religious complex known as the Temple of Heaven.

For the reverse design of 2024 Chinese Gold Pandas, the Chinese Mint showcases a new image of Giant Pandas. This year’s design captures a mother panda seated next to its young cub with a wall of foliage behind the pair.

These 2024 8 Gram Chinese Gold Panda Coins are available individually in protective pouches. The coins are offered in Brilliant Uncirculated condition and come with a mintage cap of 200,000 coins for 2024.
